Subway Scientist from Riff, a recreational cannabis line by Aphria Inc. The bottle tells me that this indica has a THC total of 19.47% & a CBD total of <0.14%. The devils lettuce was packaged on March 13, 2019 & I purchased it on May 14, 2019. 3.5 grams of the Subway Scientist cost me $35 from Canna Cabana in Hamilton. The strain is actually Granddaddy Purple. Inside a little cardboard tube I found a smaller black plastic jar. Opening the little jar, I was met with a seal....assuming to preserve freshness. Peeling back the seal I found the jar was full of cannabis. Big switch from opening other larger jars that aren't even half full of cannabis! The smell coming from the weed was a cross of berries and pine. The weed itself were loose buds with some nice purple tones mixed in with the dark green colours. The dried cannabis did indeed weigh 3.5 grams. The buds were a touch on the leafy side and could have used a better trim job. Like usual, the cannabis was crunchy and dry. I rolled up a nice little joint for myself and sparked it up. The flavour or lack of one, was very disappointing. The buzz the ganja brought on was pleasant. It set in behind my eyes and immediately calmed & relaxed me. It's not an over powerful buzz, just the right amount for a lazy Sunday afternoon. It did bring on some serious cotton mouth! I'd rate Subway Scientist by Riff a 7/10. Just need to tighten up on the trim job and the flavour.....this has potential of being top shelf!
