*Way Back Throwback* Broken Coast - Gabriola (Frost Monster)

Gabriola (Frost Monster) from Broken Coast. I grabbed 5 grams from Broken Coast for $58.00 (plus tax). The packaging tells me that Frost Monster is 80% Indica & 20% Sativa with a THC total of 20.2% & a CBD total of 0.03%. The cannabis was packaged on Feb. 28, 2019 and I received it on April 15, 2019. Upon cracking open the bottle I was met with the beautiful buds that I've come to expect from Broken Coast! The buds were indeed frosty and plump, like a frost monster probably should be. Oddly, Gabriola had little to no smell. The weed did weigh 5 grams. The nugs broke up nicely and I've smoked them in joint form and vaped them in my Pax 3. This is where the bad news starts for Gabriola. She tasted horrible! I really disliked the flavour. Not sure how to really explain the flavour other than it was one that my buddy and I both really did not enjoy! I also found that it was pretty harsh and left a bad taste on my tongue. The buzz from the smoke was satisfactory but definitely did not make up for the awful taste. Being a big fan of Broken Coast, I feel that Gabriola (Frost Monster) did not live up to the quality cannabis that I have grown to expect from Broken Coast. I'd rate this offering from Broken Coast a 4/10. It looked great, but it was fairly disappointing once looking past her appearance.
***Edited to add*** After being disappointed with this one, it went into a jar with a boveda pack and was left alone for a couple of weeks. When I decided to give it another shot, it was a totally different experience that would have probably bumped its grade up to at least a 6/10. The flavour, like a fine wine, improved with age!
