*Thursday Throwback* Top Leaf - Oregon Golden Goat

I had been drooling over Top Leaf's Instagram page for quite some time. Always posting pictures of gorgeous buds with mouth watering descriptions that I didn't have access to. Then it happened, they finally were available in Ontario! I instantly grabbed their GSC & this, Oregon Golden Goat (is it really cannabis if it doesn't have a bizarre name?!)
Does Top Leaf live up to the hype, let's find out...

Dominant Terpenes: Caryophyllene, Terpineol, Humulene, Myrcene
Packaging: Frosted black glass jar with a mini Integra humidity pack inside the jar.

Appearance - 19/25 points
Size: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); Pretty nice size nugs, small to medium in size. Not super dense but not super airy.
Color: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); Various shades of lighter green with plenty of rust colored hairs.
Trim job: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Near perfect trim, could have used a quick once over.
Moisture: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); It feels like it’s on the fresher side, but oddly no stickiness to her at all.
Bag Appeal: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); Nice looking nugs, sparkles in the light.
Weight: 5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); 3.5 grams, bang on.
Trichomes: 3 points (0 to 3 points avail.); Milky intact trichome heads.
Seeds: 0 points (-2 points per seed, max of -10 points); No seeds.
Smell - 16/25 points
Appealing: 7 points (0 to 10 points avail.); Citrusy pine/pinesol....opens up the nose! It's like a citrus pinecone air freshener.
Fragrant: 5 points (0 to 8 points avail.); It's nice and fragrant, not overpoweringly strong though.
Pungent: 4 points (0 to 7 points avail.); Not necessarily stinky pungent, but ooh wee that citrus pine!
Bad Smell: 0 points (-5 to 0 points avail.); All good with the smell.
Taste - 22/25 points
Flavor when Smoked: 4 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); She tastes much like she smells. Sweet pine. Really enjoyable!
Harshness when Smoked: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Pretty smooth until the half way point of the joint and then she starts to get a little harsh. Gets harsher as she goes.
Flavor when Vaped: 5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Vaping just amplified the flavor! I could vape this all day!!
Harshness when Vaped: 5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Super duper smooth!
Flavor from unlit inhale: 5 points (0 to 5 points avail.); Tastes a lot like it did when vaping, sooooo nice!
Effects/Experience - 8/15 points
Strength: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Not overpowering but still a strong motivating “sativa-like” head high.
Length: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); I felt the bulk of the effects for about 40 minutes.
Expected Effects: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Definitely an uplifting motivating buzz. Can't stop smiling!
Ash: 0 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Salt and pepper....no wait, hold the salt! Mostly pepper colored ash.
Burn: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); No big complaints.
Value - 6/10 points
Quality: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Absolutely good quality, but I wouldn't go as far as top quality and at almost $50 for 3.5 grams, she's a pricey one.
Cannabis: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Everything considered, this was pretty enjoyable all around, except for maybe my wallet!

I surely would not call this the "greatest of all time", but it's strong contender for an awesome sativa! I enjoyed my first sampling of what Top Leaf had to offer and look forward to trying many more, just wish they would ease up on my wallet! Next up, their GSC....
