*Thursday Throwback* Top Leaf - GSC

My second sampling of a cultivar from Top Leaf. This time around we have GSC, aka Girl Scout Cookies, which I'm assuming they couldn't use the name for obvious reasons! I was very pleased with Top Leaf's Oregon Golden Goat, so I was excited to crack open this GSC! Rightfully so, Top Leaf has included the GSC in their "Legends Series". Onto my review...

Appearance - 19/25 points
Size: 1 point (0 to 3 points avail.); Mostly all popcorn nugs.
Color: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); Various shades of mostly lighter greens with a trace or two of some darker green.
Trim job: 3 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Beautiful trim, tight to the buds.
Moisture: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); It's on the fresher side, but no stickiness to her at all.
Bag Appeal: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); GSC looks real nice, but all smalls are a bit of a bummer.
Weight: 5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); 3.5 grams on the dot.
Trichomes: 3 points (0 to 3 points avail.); Lots of milky intact trichomes.
Seeds: 0 points (-2 points per seed, max of -10 points); No seeds found.
Smell - 21/25 points
Appealing: 8 points (0 to 10 points avail.); Love that stinky smell! It's got this sweet earthiness to her that I absolutely love!
Fragrant: 7 points (0 to 8 points avail.); The smell on this one will definitely fill a room!
Pungent: 6 points (0 to 7 points avail.); That ooh wee stank! Love the "pungentness" of this one!
Bad Smell: 0 points (-5 to 0 points avail.); Nothing to report here.
Taste - 14/25 points
Flavor when Smoked: 2 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); That earthiness I mentioned with the smell comes out strong in the flavor with maybe a little mint. Wasn't the greatest in my opinion.
Harshness when Smoked: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); She left a tickle in the throat and gave me a cough or two.
Flavor when Vaped: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); It's slightly better vaped than smoked in a joint, but not by much.
Harshness when Vaped: 4 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Fairly smooth with a slight throat tickle.
Flavor from unlit inhale: 2 points (0 to 5 points avail.); The flavor was a little muted here, I got a bit of that earthiness.
Effects/Experience - 11/15 points
Strength: 3 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); This one floored me! Hard indica, could feel all my worries and problems evaporate in the air, much like the smoke from my exhale!
Length: 3 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Was still feeling the effects an hour in!
Expected Effects: 3 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Without a doubt indica! Should be the poster child for indica cultivars!
Ash: 0 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); Same as the Oregon Golden Goat, fairly dirty black ash.
Burn: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); No real issues on the burn, but not perfect.
Value - 7/10 points
Quality: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Much like the Golden Goat again, the quality is good, but for that price point, it's not amazing!
Cannabis: 4 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); Was planning on giving this a 3 as well, but the effects hit me almost perfectly, so I had to bump this up to a 4.
GRAND TOTAL OF 72/100 POINTS
Another solid cultivar being put out under the Top Leaf brand. I've had quite a few Girl Scout Cookies in my past (both the cannabis & actual cookies!) and I'm pleased with this sampling. Not the best I've had and far from the worst! The way this hits me, I'll most certainly be picking this up a second, third, forth……twentieth time!
