*Thursday Throwback* blkmkt - Wedding Crasher

Had the opportunity to test out some cannabis that isn't available in Ontario, yet....well sort of, more on that in a later review (see Kush Cake by 7Acres Craft Collective review). Started to hear a fair amount about blkmkt, but maybe that was just the bad press regarding their name? I do enjoy the name, it's like giving a nod to the black market that's been around for as long as cannabis has been outlawed. Some big shoes to fill, let's see how blkmkt stacks up.....

Appearance - 13/25 points
Size: 1.5 points (0 to 3 points avail.); small to medium sized nugs, pretty dense though.
Color: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); nice greens, rusty colored hairs and a tinge of purple.
Trim job: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); wonderfully done on the medium sized nugs, the smalls, they seem to have forgotten about.
Moisture: 0 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); dry dry dry....not turn to dust dry, but definitely dry! Interesting to note, no seal on the jar.
Bag Appeal: 1.5 points (0 to 3 points avail.); nice frosty nugs, but the smalls bring down the bag appeal.
Weight: 4 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); 3.4 grams. .1 gram underweight.
Trichomes: 2 points (0 to 3 points avail.); lots of trichomes, clear to cloudy in color.
Seeds: 0 points (-2 points per seed, max of -10 points); no seeds found.
Smell - 15/25 points
Appealing: 7 points (0 to 10 points avail.); lovely on the nose. I'm getting grape and vanilla. If you know the Fruité Grape Drink, it smells just like that!
Fragrant: 5 points (0 to 8 points avail.); the smell would fill a small closet, until you grind her up, then that smell would fill a room!
Pungent: 3 points (0 to 7 points avail.); I wouldn't say all that pungent, but it does have a bit of a sour grape smell to her.
Bad Smell: 0 points (-5 to 0 points avail.); nothing to report.
Taste - 20/25 points
Flavor when Smoked: 4 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); tastes so good! Like grape candy...give me more!!
Harshness when Smoked: 3 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); it does dry out the throat and tickle your uvula.
Flavor when Vaped: 4 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); sweet grape drink! I'll take another glass of that!
Harshness when Vaped: 5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); the vaporizer made her super smooth!
Flavor from unlit inhale: 4 points (0 to 5 points avail.); tastes absolutely delicious....it's totally grape Fruité!
Effects/Experience - 10/15 points
Strength: 1.5 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); initially, it hits hard but quickly settles into a nice mellow buzz.
Length: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); 40 minutes give or take at various levels of strength.
Expected Effects: 2 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); pretty indica, full body buzz, numb head, ears tingly.
Ash: 1.5 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); looks pretty decent, but could still be better.
Burn: 3 points (-3 to 3 points avail.); burnt perfectly.
Value - 5/10 points
Quality: 2.5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); that's a bit of a hefty price tag. Quality is decent, the flavor is possibly one of my faves!
Cannabis: 2.5 points (-5 to 5 points avail.); this one excelled in the taste & effects categories, but that price point is still a touch higher than I wish it was!
GRAND TOTAL OF 63/100 POINTS
This is definitely some solid cannabis with room to improve. The dryness of the cannabis definitely needs to be addressed! Maybe add a seal to the jar? Maybe even a Boveda? I also think that price point needs to drop. Good first impressions of blkmkt though! Look forward to reviewing their other cultivars. Hopefully they become available in Ontario asap!
